Is there a way to basically do the opposite phase inversion? Where, rather than cancelling out what is common between two soundwaves. The commonality is kept while the differences between both files are deleted? I'd at least like to know a method that works on mono files. Thanks
Edit: Going to add an example
So lets say I have 2 drum loops. both loops have the same pattern and use the same kick sample. However they both have different high hat samples . I'll refer to both of these as 'ab', and 'ac'. Where 'a' represents the kick, and 'b' and 'c' represent the different high hat samples in the loop. When we phase invert 'ab' and layer it over 'ac' we are left with the output of 'bc'. As 'a'--our drum kick was the only common thing between both loops. However if we isolated the commonalities between both files we would get a track with only a in it. As that was the only commonality.
