And before you jump to any conclusions, yes, it's a fully legal version - I purchased the physical box that comes with the USB card.
I get all the way through the install process and then it never completes. It just hangs for hours and hours with the progress bar all the way done. It just never wraps up the installation and I have to force quit each time.
I've tried five times now. I've tried both from the USB card plugged into the back of the Mac, and also by copying all files to the internal HD and then making a disk image and installing from that. Same result, although a heck of a lot faster using the disk image.
I'm running OSX 10.9.5, which is compatible. I've got a 1TB hard drive with 400 GB free, so I don't think free space is a problem. It's got 16 GB of RAM, so no issue there either.
It's a 2.3 GHz i7, which is only slightly slower than the 2.4 GHz i7 they have as a requirement, but I don't think that would affect an installation, maybe just the performance of the software once installed.
I've tried contacting Spectrasonics, but they're very slow in responding, and it's doubtful they'll have me up and running before they take off for the weekend.
I was really hoping to have some fun with this beast of a synth this weekend, and so far it's just been frustration after frustration. Not a great experience considering the money I had to shell out for this thing.
Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks!
