I've always been inspired by the songs I've heard listening to DDR growing up & stuff like Van Dahl, 4 Strings, Lange, System F, etc.
I'm looking for a single hardware synth, that is easy to switch from patch to patch & is fun to program, where I can make/edit a patch, record it in as audio, switch to new patch, play it in, rinse & repeat.... & will give me that late 90's-00's lush trance sound.
Would a JP 8080 be the best or maybe an older Virus?
A newer poly synth would mean newer internal components, so I wouldn't worry about the synth going bad, at least for quite a while, but would anything today give off that era of Trance sound (filters, nice arp, etc.)?
I've used Sylenth a lot, but would really prefer a hardware unit so I can tweak knobs & buttons. :)
