I'm usually a big advocate of this, but today I wasn't thinking and scared the hell out of myself.
I was just browsing through some Reaktor FX presets and twisting some knobs looking for something really weird to add to my guitar. Suddenly the plugin starts feeding back and the channel shoots up to a 140dB. My ears and headphones seem to be okay, and it was only for a split second before I pressed my mute button, but it was pretty painful. Be careful! You never know when a plugin is going to do something crazy like this. Protect your ears and your equipment.
