If you lost everything you haven't uploaded as a finished or WIP track, how would you feel and how would you carry on? What's square one for you?
I ask as my music laptop is on the fritz and I realized I never bothered to back anything up save for a few projects held on dropbox. Part of me feels a little angry and sad at the idea of losing all those beloved half baked ideas and sounds, another part of me rejoices in the idea of being able to start absolutely fresh. I've come along since I first started producing, and while there are a few good ideas I had that I would hate to lose forever I know I could take the same concept and give it new life. Not to mention I could justify buying a new PC and gear....
Tldr if you lost all your project files samples etc, how would you feel and where would you go from there?
(But yeah, maybe I should have backed everything up)
