So I have become frustrated lately because recently I feel like I have actually been getting pretty good and improving a lot but there are a couple of things that I cant seem to get and am having trouble with. I mostly produce EDM such as house trance or future bass, and I have gotten pretty good at making the intros breakdowns and basically about everything but the drop. For some odd reason I just haven't been able to get the drop of songs quite right and I usually find it to be disappointing in comparison to the rest of the song. I guess mostly it is the mix of the drop and getting it to sound full big and punchy is what I am having trouble with. I find myself confused as to what layers or elements I should include in the drop and what to do those elements to get them to sound as good as what you would hear from any other skilled producer. I have searched a bunch of dry articles and tutorials and even picked apart some project files but it seems hard to find any definitive information on the topic. Such as right now I have kind of been working on songs that are a blend of progressive house/ future house / and future bass. I know there are still areas in the breakdowns and intros and buildups I could still work on but the drop my true bane right now. I feel like I am so close but just not there yet and it can be pretty frustrating. Any suggestions on what to do or where to go to learn are welcomed. Thank you for your time! If you need me to specify anything or have any questions feel free to ask! or on another note if you feel like talking about anything, from production to anything else, don't be afraid to message me!
