iZotope is having their fall sale and once again I'm tempted... The bundle for Ozone and Neutron advanced is a crazy good deal but I can't figure out why you would need both. Don't they both basically do the same thing? Anyone able to shed some light?
I know that the marketing materials seem to say that Neutron is more of a mixing tool to be applied per track, and Ozone is meant for mastering. However, when I look at the details Neutron has an Equalizer, Compressor, Limiter, and Exciter. Ozone also has Equalizer, Compressor, Limiter, and Exciter as well as some other goodies which I would assume use the same algorithms being made by the same company. Why would I use the Neutron compressor on a channel vs. the Ozone compressor? Why would I want to own both?
