Hey edmprod! So I currently have an XPS 15 laptop that I use as my primary production rig. It has plenty of power, but isn't as mobile as I would like. It's fine for going to a friends house, but too heavy and too short battery life to be usable on vacations and work trips. And in economy class on planes, its too big to be usable. I'm trying to find a good secondary machine to use for getting ideas out while I'm traveling. I was thinking of a 12" windows tablet, specifically the Samsung Galaxy TabPro S. It has 8gb ram 256gb SSD, but the bottle neck would be the core M3 processor. But it gets great battery life and is really light and small. I would run ableton and a few plugins, and this machine would be cool as I could hook up my mpk 25 easily. The other option, to me, is to get an iPad and run garage band. I am not familiar with it, but I really just need something for getting ideas out etc. not a full production work station. What are your guys thoughts on this? Does anyone have experience running ableton on a Core M processor? Do you think the iPad route would be the way to go for my needs? Thanks for any input
