I just automate a cutoff right now and it really doesn't bring out the drop melody like I want it to. An example I'm trying to go for is Heroes by Alesso though there's tons of songs that do it well. But it sounds like he's basically going from a background melody that's kind of out to the side and then when the drop hits it hits hard and in your face. Any tips into how to replicate this technique would be appreciated.
