I want to learn to play flute, for it is an amazing instrument with awesome sound to me. I know very basic music theory, not anything much.
I developed a fascination for learning to play flute after listening to "Isara - Eluveitie". I did google and found out that the flute was a tin flute. Tin flute is very rare - almost absent where I live. My question is,
-
Is "Tin flute" and "Irish flute" the same thing?
-
sound wise, what's the difference between tin flute and an indian bamboo flute. What's good to learn? (I know very basic of music theory - what are the notes, chords ... just this much)
-
Can you suggest any good website or youtube channel or book to learn flute from very basic stage? especially for beginners?
-
What's a recorder? Google image tells me it's a lot like flute made of plastic? Why is it called "Recorder" then? Is learning to play recorder is equivalent to learning to play tin flute?
I know my question is big, but believe me I couldn't find that many resources online. Your help will be appreciated.
