So, recently I have hit abit of a creative block while producing. I spent the last few months teaching myself Sound design to allow me to be more creative in my productions. However now while producing I find it hard to create sounds from scratch in the middle of making a song it kills my creative vibe and speed allot and what happens is the I end up with a really nice sounding 8 bar loop but that's it. So I started using presets to lay down my ideas obviously using them more as a starting point to create my own sounds and it has helped me speed up my producing and start making longer songs, but my issue is I feel guilty for using presets. So what do you guys thing about presets is it okay to use them as a starting point to create sounds, or is making them all from scratch something a good producer would do?
