Hi everyone, I am currently using a Traktor Z1 mixer as a soundcard since it comes with one, I do a little bit of DJing that's why I got one, but I've stopped that and I'm focusing on production only for now.
Does Focusrite's Scarlett 2i2 have a better soundcard than the TraktorZ1? I'm working on a very limited space so I could storage the Z1 and replace it with the 2i2.
The thing is I only use a couple of monitors, headphones and a MIDI keyboard, would the 2i2 be useful? If I plan on adding some drum sequencers like a TR-8 or some Volca beats, should I go for the 2i4?
I've been searching on reddit/forums for answers but I couldn't find anything that answers both my questions.
Could I just do with the 2i2 or should I go for the 2i4 if I plan on getting some hardware stuff later on? Or could I just plug the TR-8 to a USB port in my PC?
My questions are a bit all over the place, sorry about that..
