First let me say I'm a mac guy and I like to use Logic Pro X, but it does not prevent me from using windows based VSTs in my production. That said: I like to know if there's a VST or preferably better, an AU based synth that has the same type of sounds and programming that would be very similar to the Andromeda A6? Like how NI's FM8 is to the DX7.
I seen and heard some stuff here and there, but IMO, what I've seen has very horrible interface and sounds even worse. I seen heard these sample based clones that you buy off of eBay that run in a sampler like Kontakt or EXS24, not so bad, but the sounds, still sound weak. And on a sampler, just fake to me. can you really tweak the filters? A6 had some very special filters. Plus, can you change the OSC settings from a cheap sample set. Ha! Unless you cheat and use a A6 wavetable in Serum? I guess that could work, but would it have the true bottom end sound and character to the A6 sound?
OK, I'll stop.. I'll end this and say I'm looking to see what others have done to create the huge epic warm and unique pad sounds from the A6 without paying the 3,000 plus US dollars to find a decent real one on greed-Bay??
