Whatsup homies! So I'm in the market for a pair of new studio monitors, and I'm in between two models - the Adam A7X's and Genelec 8030's. It's been a long time coming and I'm finally at a point financially where I can swing it. More than likely I'll be purchasing the matching sub that goes with either system, however, I may also opt out of the sub and get a subpac seated instead. My music is very bass heavy, producing neuro hop, glitch, future funk, and overall wonky choons. I do a ton of sound design and synthesis, and the goal is to move towards an analog synth setup, but I feel like before I begin hoarding modular gear I need to start by upgrading the foundation of my setup (i.e. computer, interface, monitors, etc). Right now I use KRK Rokit 6's - it's a love hate relationship - but I've gotten used to them and my mixes seem to translate quite well. I'm looking for some feedback and response from anybody who has experience with either of these monitors. Thoughts & opinions? Much love!
