So I listen to a fair bit of tech-house and i've noticed that a lot of drops contain this kind of "horn" sound, bit like a fog horn really. Here are a few examples;
Andrea Oliva - Vermona
Green Velvet - Flash (Eats Everything Remix)
Latmun - Def - (Not so much a horn, but the same idea)
So basically what I want to know, this sort of effect/application, does it have a particular name? And the horn style sounds, would they be sampled or made in a synthesiser or similar? I think it's a cool effect to help with drops and something I'd like to add to my music, just not sure what to look up!
