I've been trying to figure this out for ages, not just in this song but in others. The drop in this song is so simple, but sounds perfectly full still. How? Here's another example.
In both of these drops, there are basically just 4 elements: a kick, snare, bass/808, and a lead (first is a guitar, second is a vocal). How are they filling the entire spectrum with just 4 sounds? I need like 10 for it to sound full.
I have a theory that maybe each individual sound is super saturated and compressed to make them as rich as possible? Any thoughts?
