Say you're an EDM group that has a drummer. Their drum set pretty much has one tone. So it is more than likely that you add different effects to drum recordings to vary the sound of the drum set when you mix in your DAW. When performing live, how are those same effects (EX: distortion) added to the drums' dry signal? Are the mics going directly into the DAW to have the same effects applied to them? Are individual track outputs sent to a physical mixer for the sound tech to adjust?
