I'm new to the world of composing EDM music and I'm not sure how to achieve many of the sounds you hear in tracks these days. I'm trying to write something deep and bassy, with a perfect example being the bass line in 'Human Movement - Dancing Room' (apologies I can't provide a link on mobile). I understand how to write like that from a composition point of view, however I am clueless in how to actually achieve a sound like that using software. Any tips on how to go about it and any relevant VST's you would recommend? Any relevant video links would also be amazing, there's so many tutorials out there but I don't know how to describe the genre in words so that I can actually find them ('Deep House' was my first thought but it's quite a bit different). I'm up to my ears in drum samples already from projects in other genres, but other than that all I possess currently is the Helix Synth VST.
Thanks heaps!"
