I come from a background of playing guitar well over a decade and I've started producing trap music (both EDM and hip hop really). I've recorded some guitar licks and worked them into songs once or twice but do you all know of any great examples of live instrumentation being incorporated into an established EDM act? The first think that comes to mind is Big Gigantic and Griz and while I think both put on a great show, the music is not something I find myself listening to often. are there more examples of EDM acts like this? have you tried incorporating live sounds you've recorded into EDM songs? how did it go? would love to hear more
