I'm still getting used to Ableton and production in general but I'm wondering when to use the drum rack for drums, as opposed to (I guess) having a different track for each sound.
It looks like the drum rack is a really easy way to get a beat going quickly, and I've seen a bunch of YouTube tutorials where they use it, but I've also seen people (like deadmau5 in his streams) who have a separate track for kick, snare, hats, etc.
So I'm just wondering if it's strictly a personal preference kind of thing? Or if there are actual pros and cons to each method?
