So, I made a generic 80s synth, pretty simple, a few more effects on it than normal, but overall nothing serious. Yet every time I load it into an Ableton project as of late, I have to freeze the track from the moment it goes in, and do it again every time I want to tweak something. I put a project on Splice with nothing but the preset doing 4 chords, and it took up 65% of my CPU when playing. This is odd, because I can put close to 15 instances of Serum with a lot more effects and waves in the wavetables, and it runs like a champ.
