So I really do understand how 95% of the Image-Line synth "Harmless" works, and I've been practicing making random interesting sounds with it for the past couple days, but there's just one thing that didn't make sense while I was reading through manuals and studying up on it.
What does the "vel" button do? I see one under the attack, release, pluck, volume, time, unison, filter amount, and harmonizer, so it must be important. What I gathered is that it "links the parameter to the note-on velocity", but i don't quite understand what that means or how that works. My guess is if I had a low velocity note in my piano roll then that parameter would be set to a low setting and vice versa? Maybe, but I'm not quite sure.
That's all I could figure out, and I couldn't find anyone who explains it further elsewhere. I know it's a relatively simple subject, but I'm just having a hard time fully comprehending. Thanks guys!
