I am largely influenced by Trip-hop/Downtempo. The music genre(s) is laid-back by definition. Is it possible for me to create a more aggressive, higher BPM, style for said genre(s)?
If there are already songs with that style, please share. The closest track that comes to mind is Inertia Creeps - Massive Attack. That track, however, runs at a cool 80 something BPM.
I would like to maintain that "trippy"/"dark" atmosphere, but have a more aggressive impact.
