Hi everyone,
I just started producing music recently and have been watching highly-acclaimed FL studio 12 basics and production basics tutorials from SeamlessR. While a massive amount of thanks is due to Seamless for making all these tutorials freely available to everyone, a lot of the tutorials go over my head and I do not understand all the terms he uses in his videos (terms like threshold, time variable, etc when talking about Maximus for example). Perhaps it is because I skipped some of the tutorials that seemed self-explanatory or discussed things I knew about, but I feel like terms like those were not explained in his previous videos. Also, he seems to focus a lot on more on theory than the practical aspects of production so at the end of his videos, I often wonder how I am going to apply everything he has talked about.
Did anyone have the same problems when first starting to learn FL studio? Should I stick with it and watch all the tutorials till the end? What are some alternative ways to learn FL studio and production? How do paid courses on MOOCs compare to the free ones on Youtube?
Thanks!
