Do people often do all their mixing and mastering in Ableton (in the case that its produced in Ableton), or is this bad practice? I've had moderate success doing it this way for a while but I'm getting to the point where my stuff seems to be a little too layered and complex to wrangle down into a good mixdown in Ableton.
Any suggestions for a good mixing/mastering environment? Or is the real way to do it to pay someone else to mix and master? And if that's the case, does anyone know of a good source for relatively cheap mastering?
Thanks : )
