Hey friends, long time reader first time poster and all that jazz.
A friend of mine and I make music together in FL Studio and have for well over five years at this point. Over time we've been really good at sending links to sample packs we find interesting through e-mail or sharing freeware VSTs that generate interesting sounds. What we haven't figured out a solid method of, is sharing projects and sounds efficiently.
With e-mail, we've got a limit as to how much in size we can attach. Back in the day, FL used to come bundled with a program called Collab that allowed users to make groups and work on projects almost seamlessly within FL. They discontinued Collab a number of years ago for some reason I can't remember.
As of now, we've been using an old version of AIM to share projects with each other. We have both set up our File Transfers to be automatically accepted and downloaded to our Projects folder, so that we can send each other files when we're not at our computers. Does anyone have any recommendations for better ways to share stuff? AIM works quite well for now but I can't help but feel like there's a much better way to do things haha
