hey /r edm :)
so I learn a lot about how to mix the best. ( trying aswell to have a sound LOUD in 'gain' knob ' without too much headroom and good placement of frequency, good arrangement )
but why, everyone saturate/tube bus, or something, I can see VR do it in some video, and aswell in a krne project, ( and stream ) he throw some glue compressor on drums bus, with only a bit of makeup no release and attack 3 something like this ( if I remember well ) ( no release and not in the attack of the drum )
So my question is, knowing you want this mix fat, what is a "go" bus glue for being chilldish, do you need today to have all the volume of all sound the more louder in volume and cut this shit with an EQ no matter what ?
or I m mixing 'wrong' I understand really well know how music work but maybe it's my headphone ( hd HD7 DJ seinheiser ) ( tone/attack/ low/mid etc.. or it work with layering with only volume ).
So my question is, there is something we can do for have anything loud on a basic, or I just need a bit of more work for understand properly layering and mix ?
and sometime I can see on maximus throw on my bedroom music ( just to watch ) there is a "empty mid/high" for my song. ( how resolve this, up the high of all my instru that can get it without fucking the idea ? add white noise something like this ? )
there is some "rules" for being basic loud ( not talking theory only volume/engineering ) ?
sorry for my english I m no native, and I m learning puzzle sorry for my bad understanding of music aswell
