https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sTLHeZFgd1U This ableton panel has been out for like 2-3 months and Im sure some of you have seen it.
the panel is based on overcoming the creative block which ended up having some really good stories of problems that these 4 producers have had on the daily.
I was rewatching the panel and I was so happy to hear that Pheobe Kiddo had mentioned by the end of a song that she was writing, she is most likely bored of the track or bored with the fact that she hasnt finished the song already. I think thats a big struggle for a lot of young producers and people on this subreddit, I mean i tend to see a post about how somebody cant finish a track almost every day. but back to the point, I know for a fact that when this happened to me, I would over think and be like shit is this really what I like to do or is it just a hump in the road that I need to learn how to be more discipline with finishing tracks.
Matt Herbert had also said that he will sit in front a piano, something he has played since he was a young kid and really just say fuck, what the fuck do I play. Again, a major struggle a lot of producer tend to have.
Not being creative has put plenty of negative thoughts in my head on whether music is something i want to do and I think rewatching this, had really just reminded me that everyone goes through these creative ruts, its normal and dont feel so pressured to produce something amazing every time you sit down.
IDK really just felt like getting this off my chest to the endless post I see about creative blocks etc....
(Sorry for grammer and structure, tired and its 1:37am)
