I encourage you guys to do the same and post something you made years back and then post something recent or what you consider your best. I think it'd be pretty cool and funny for us all to show our progress.
This is something I made long ago. I didn't know much music theory or production stuff. I was a kid screwing around.
This is my most recent track. My knowledge of music theory improved and so has my production knowledge.
I also shifted my focus of genre. Back then I was trying to imitate deadmau5 because, ironically, I thought he was rubbish and so I thought anyone could do it. I was wrong. I actually credit this stupidity for why I'm as far as I am right now. Instead of being all talk I actually tried to do what he was doing and because of that started to gain respect for him as well as develop an interest in music production.
I thought deadmau5 was bad back then because I was one of those Skrillex fans that just demanded a drop all the time. I've completely changed in that regard and deadmau5 has now become one my most respected artists.
I credit Infite for getting me into uplifting trance and taking it on as my main focus.
