I've been told that my sound design is lacking by my friends. I tend to agree with them. I personally haven't been a big music listener, ever. At most I've (probably) listened to 6 albums in their entirety in my lifespan, and I'm 22. I never got into music, but somehow I've gotten into music production a year ago. I've just recently started working on sound design but as my question implies I'm not too keen on what I need to be working on. My friends tell my I'm good at arrangement/composition but I'd love to have the sound design aspect down as well. Coming from my background it's no surprise that I don't know what sounds good, but I do know what feels good to me, at least. Here's a sample track that is the most recent composition I've made. Nothing is stock, it's all custom sounds made via Massive, Kontakt, or samples + EQing. You can be as honest as you need to be; my only goal is to become better at music production in its entirety.
tl;dr I just want to get better at sound design and need advice on my style given my shallow experience in music in general.
