It's easy to make patches with interesting mids and highs, but sometimes they sound thin. In this case, I often simply add a sine, tri, or filtered square (dep. on what's happening in the mids/highs) pitched down into the sub range.
This is a quick fix that usually does the trick, but does anyone have other techniques for adding oomph to otherwise thin patches?
