TL; DR What's your workflow and it comes to working with two DAWs?
I've been thinking about the idea of getting a second DAW. I love Ableton's Session View but I hate the arrangement view. I don't know, I just can't organize anything in there. Its 2D interface drives me crazy.
Yesterday I went to friend's house and I brought 4 Ableton projects with me and since he got Ableton and Logic we started messing around, going back and forth with those projects.
I've never had so much fun working with music. Not just because I was with a friend but because It worked. Music was made, you know? Logic's stock plugins are amazing, its interface is even better. I don't want to give up on Ableton because it has a lot of great features that I like (and sketching out ideas on Logic is the worst thing ever) but I also loved the Logic interface, especially and it comes to arranging a track.
My question is: I'm pretty sure a lot of people do that back and forth thing here, but how do you do it? I mean, what is your workflow to begin with? I'm considering getting Logic and make Ableton my "prototype" choice while I arrange and mix on Logic.
Thanks!
