Going to Ableton's preferences and changing the audio output EVERY time I want to reference a mix on my headphones, monitors, or laptop built-in speakers gets really old. And it's actually slow - takes my macbook like 10 seconds each time. I also am working more with vocalists now, so having extra cue lines I think would be helpful.
So I think monitor controllers are what I want?
I already have a scarlet 2i2 interface, I assume most will work with those.

Would just love to hear some advice from people who have one and what they've found useful as well as recommendations on products.
