To be more specific, I can write a good build and drop, but I can't write an intro, bridge, or outtro. I can't seem to find how to layer things that I can transition from an ambient soundscape to a heavy banger. I also can't write a melody. I can work out a nice 8-bar chord progression, but I can't write a melody over it.
Since I don't know how to transition or write a melody in a composition, I have never written a full song.
Am I a lost cause for writing music or am I just missing out on some fundamental knowledge?
