In this lesson you'll learn how to play "Lonely Avenue" as recorded by Ray Charles on guitar.
This song is a 12-bar blues chord progression in the key of Ab. Now blues in this key is definitely more of a piano player's key. Most guitar players would rather move this up a half step, and play it in the key of A, but for this lesson I'll show you a way of playing it in the key of E using a capo on the 4th fret.
When you are done with this lesson you'll have some great new blues comping patterns, and you'll also have everything you need to go play along with the original recording in the right key. Let's break it down! https://youtu.be/4glel9KHqfo
