There is this track I was listening lately. It's pretty simple, acid bass lines in front and Drone/Lead sound in the distant background (which rocks btw). They both play well together, but at the end from 5:50 there is one more additional melody being introduced on top which sounds like it's not exactly in the key but it makes very interesting variation for a track and just sounds amazing personally. I want to know what is this called in music theory, is it complementary melody? Am I right that it's out of key? Is it closely related key?
