Obviously the way sound processing works sounds need to be balanced with each other and have dynamic. I’m wondering what should be the mindset when making a track from scratch? So after adding one sound you like that sounds good, then adding another sound and so on. On jay hardway’s explanation of his track stardust he shows lots of layering in this buildup at the start of the track. There’s not much crazy processing going on, he seemed to be very light on the Eqing (only the obvious lows taken out). I noticed that as all the sounds build up and are playing together, the overall volume feels lower because there’s so much going on and there’s loads of energy. But when I try and add several sounds together to create energy I don’t really get that vibe, everything just seems smashed together and there’s no atmosphere. Any help? Thanks!
