Hello. So long story short, I'm looking into options to buy a midi keyboard. Problem is, I can't spare much money on it. And by that I mean I even seriously considered a roll-up keyboard for $20 just because of price tag and how compact it is but declined that idea because that technology just doesn't seem to work well enough yet. Ok, fine, a bit more than $20, don't care how flexible it is either. It won't go far from my desktop, so don't even need it to work from batteries. I'd say 2 octaves seem too small to me, but something like 49 or 61 keys seems solid enough to me. It doesn't have to have any sound other than what comes from my headphones — no one but me will ever hear those anyway. Neither it has to have any build-in sounds (I'm planning to connect it to music software and use for some amateur composing with VTS for the most part). So the keypoints are: cheap, not too big but over 25 keys, absolute bare minimal functionality. Even preferable USB-only with as little stuff I'm not going to use as possible. Build-in sounds, nasty synthesized speaker, etc — only if there's no better option without them for same or lower price. Right now all I have is, well, my PC keyboard that I use in a virtual keyboard mode, and as long as it'll be even slightly more convenient, I'm fine with it. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance, and sorry if this sounds wrong in some way, or if it was wrong reddit to post (in that case sorry mods, you can just delete this, I don't mind).
