Hello fellow redditors. I'm currently 17 yr old with some minor experience in playing guitar (3 years or so) but has a really bad fundation on music theory & anything related
My ultimate goal in music is to compose my own piece of music at ease, but that requires you to have a really good fundation of music understanding.
I decided I wanted to pick up the violin (yes It's very hard to play I know) to play with, it can train my ears aswell (Its fretless unlike the guitar) And I assume violinst do learn alot of music theory am I right?
But is this the right thing to do? Should I go find a teacher that is expertise at music theory or should I assume my violin teacher will have a good base fundation of music theory and I canlearn it along with my violin.
Thanks in advance :)
