The whole dB thing confuses the shit outa me. It’s bad to have anything go over 0db but then it’s ok to raise the makeup gain to above 0db on a limiter/compressor? Is there different meanings to dB? Like for instance if I raise the volume on my track it’s clearly going over 0db but shouldn’t it in theory be clipping if that’s the case? If I’m making any sense here..
