Hi, I haven't been producing very long (have been playing instruments for 10 years though), and today me and a friend spent a fair while working on a track. As we were doing it, we did stuff like mixing, tone etc of the parts as we went a long. We made it using speakers for being more convenient, however because we did a lot of the mixing etc as we built the track, when I listened to it on headphones it actually sounded equally as good.
Is this a good way of doing things? Or is there something I'm hugely overlooking which will ruin the end result, I feel like something was too easy!
