Ive honestly searched everywhere and even expirimented for hours to try and figure it out. In "starving" by grey, and a lot of their other songs, they have this similar type of effect on the vocals to give it a good melody. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xwjwCFZpdns from 0:52 - 1:02 it has a lower pitched combined with a lot of effects on what seems to be the vocals from Hailee chopped a little into a melody. Then it switched to a higher pitch. I just dont know what kind of effects they used to achieve this. A vocoder just sounds too electronic I feel, and whenever I play with the pitch of vocals I get a cheesy chipmunk kind of sound that doesnt sound up to par with these. Any ideas?
