Hi guys, I have been steadily progressing with the quality of my tracks but I still run into the same problem quite often. I go looking for inspiration and I almost get too inspired. For example I was making a track inspired by Tchami, got to the drop and realized this song will be nothing because this sounds just like Tchami and this style is his and already big. It’s not new, or refreshing. I also have a problem of being afraid of making different genres of music because I want my fans to be able to expect what type of music will be coming from me. One minute I want to make some heavy hitting bass house and g house and the next minute I’m into some weird experimental tech house. The two don’t really add up.
I’m wondering if any of you have any tips for staying creative and making your own style. Anything at all to help get the ball rolling to create something fun and new. Thanks
