So sorry if this is in the wrong place or has been asked before, I searched but couldn't find anything.
As a young producer, having saved up for a new macbook solely for music production, I wanna make sure I'm doing the right thing.
I was originally going to buy the Macbook Pro 2017 13 inch 256GB SSD 8GB RAM. But I'm now having second thoughts about possibly going for 16GB RAM. However, that's quite a tight leap in cost for me, and so I'd like to know if the squeeze is worth it. The extra money would have to be borrowed as I need a case and adapter for it etc. So is it really necessary? Or could I get away with 8GB? I use Logic Pro X, with Sylenth1 and a fairly big sample library.
It's quite a risk for me to get the extra cash, so if it isn't crucial I'd rather not.
Tl;Dr Is paying for the extra 8GB of RAM necessary for an already broke student?
Many thanks, and again apologies if this is in any case breaking the rules!! Merry Christmas!
