Hey everyone, I just wanted to throw this question out to anyone because I feel that it affects me heavily as a producer and when searching the reddit I didn’t find much information or posts that were similar to my problem. So possibly anyone who has a similar problem and has found a solution, or anyone who would like to suggest something, could offer it up to myself and any others who are affected.
I’ve been “producing” off and on for about 5 years now, but I’ve only actually been taking it seriously for the past year or so, but one thing that has been consistent throughout these years is that whenever I produce for three hours or more, I start getting this crazy weird (headache?) where my head feels like it’s swimming, and it gets really hard to focus on my music. This is usually followed by frustration and ultimately turning off my laptop and not touching it for a week and a half before I convince myself this time it will be different, and I can push through it.
I think it’s worth noting that I have no knowledge of music theory so I try to do a lot of reading on music theory and sound design, so I feel like maybe I’m just getting overwhelmed? But I’m not sure.
So my attempt at help for anyone with this problem would be to try and limit the amount of time reading heavy technical texts and just enjoying it
Anyways I wanted to throw this out for people to comment on or for people to just know that they aren’t alone!
Thanks,
