I'm new to composing/production electronic music and have become familiar with typical song structures such as x amount of bars intro, breakdown, build, drop etc. I've become very obsessed with Jon Hopkins and especially this track and curious if this follows any kind of typical structure. From what I can tell it's driven by the bassline and that is present in the track from start through around the 6 min mark and I assume you can call the next part a drop or at least a B section? To me it just seems like 6 min A section and 2 min B section but the beat seems to be almost the same from beginning to end. All to my untrained ear but I'd love other opinions. I know following anyone's exact structure isn't important but this song interests me because it seems a little different in structure but it really works well
