Whenever I pan a drum sample that I'm using to the left, it appears that there is little low end compared to when I pan it to the right, where the low end is more prominent and you can really feel it thumping.
Things I've tried:
-
Making kick mono (right side still more bass)
-
Switching monitors (right side still more bass)
-
Switching cables (right side still more bass)
-
Using a different computer (right side still more bass)
-
Using a different DAW (right side still more bass)
-
Using headphones into interface (right side still more bass)
-
Using headphones into computer (right side still more bass)
-
Taking a hearing test (yes, really)
I don't know why I never noticed it before. Maybe because I never panned a kick.
So does anyone have a clue about wtf is going on?
