What's your secret weapon in mixing?
One of my "secret mixing weapons" is Massey Tape Head. Just a really good "faturator". Often a cure for thin and clinical sounds. Always adds a bit of beef around the bones. Especially great for snares, kicks, and drum busses. It's only available for Pro Tools these days, but I was lucky to buy it when it was available as a 32-bit VST, so these days, in addition to Pro Tools work, I use it in other DAWs via 32 Lives bridging system. Wouldn't want to do without it!
I think Airwindows has tried to model this one unless I'm wrong. Forgot the name.
