Bought a Novation Nova a while back. I do love having physical knobs and buttons to manipulate the sound, but I have to say, the sound that it produces sound like anything a virtual instrument can crank out. I'm assuming this is because the technology in these analog emulation synths is similar to the technology and programming that goes into VST for example.
So this begs the question, is it even worth purchasing an external instrument if it isn't a clean, warm analog signal that these emulators and soft synths just can't accurately produce?
