I have a MacBook Air, ableton, and a focusright scarlet 2i2. In order to connect my Mac to the "house" should I go through the scarlet audio interface or just through my Mac.
The audio interface has a balanced monitor output (1 socket) and it has 2 line outs on the back. I found conflicting info saying they are unbalanced or balanced. So it's either 2 balanced or 2 unbalanced. 2 balanced wouldn't make sense.
It seams to me I would just run 2 unbalanced 1/4" cables from the line out to the 2 stereo inputs on the house mixer.
Or should I run 1 balanced 1/4" cable?
